WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE WORD DUENDE?

Duende is a Latin derived word with many different meanings; our favourite translation of the word, one that connects us to our industry, is “the mysterious power of art to deeply move a person”. 

 HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE DUENDE?

Doo-N-Day.

WHAT DOES LIMITED EDITION MEAN?

Limited edition refers to only a certain number of prints sold per piece; at Duende, only sell 30 prints of each image.  Once those 30 have sold out, this image will no longer be available to purchase. 

We have chosen to offer our clients a highly curated selection of artwork by a small gathering of our favourite artists; while our prints are not original pieces, selecting a small run of limited edition prints allows us to provide pieces with exclusivity, as well as a valuable (not mass produced) creation by each artist. We aim to help the everyday collector build their own valuable gallery or art.

 IS IT POSSIBLE TO REORDER A PRINT ONCE IT IS LISTED AS SOLD OUT? 

To establish and maintain the exclusivity of our art, we will not offer reprints once an image has hit the 30 mark; however if you really love a piece that is no longer available, we would love to show you similar works by the artist or collaborate on a new custom piece. 

 WHAT IS THE FINISHED SIZE OF A PRINT?

Please note that each print will have a 0.5” white border around the image.  This will add an inch to each of the dimensions listed on the shop.

WHAT TYPE OF PAPER IS A PIECE PRINTED ON?

All Duende prints are printed on Epsom Canada Fine Art Photo Paper . Pigment on archival papers (uncoated for fine art and semi matte photo paper for photography) are the professional standard for lasting quality. 

DO YOU OFFER FRAMING?

No. We prefer to keep the shipping costs down and let you organize framing once you receive the print. If you are local to Vancouver, please email us at info@duendecuration.com and we can put you in touch with our favourite framer and offer a discount. 

DO YOU ACCEPT ARTIST SUBMISSIONS?

We launch a new roster of art and artists twice per year, in September and March. We love to get our eyes on fresh work and welcome artists submissions throughout the year. If you would like to be considered for representation, please email low res samples of your work, as well as your instagram handle, to duendecuration@gmail.com.

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS OR EXCHANGES? 

At this time we do not accept returns or exchanges, as each piece of art is custom printed to order. However, we are happy to send a replacement of the same piece of art if the product arrives damaged due to a shipping mishap. Please email us directly at duendecuration@gmail.com with photos of the damages should you have a concern regarding your purchase. 

DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?

Not at this time, but we hope to in the near future.  Please email us if you are thinking of gifting Duende (either in the physical print or as a monetary amount they can spend) and we will be happy to assist along the way.

DO YOU HAVE A TRADE PROGRAM?

Yes! We value the work of interior designers, decorators and architects and offer a 10% discount for their clients and projects.  If you would like to register, you can email duendecuration@gmail.com to set up your trade account; please include your business name, registration and website and/or instagram details in the email. 

DO YOU WORK WITH COMMERCIAL CLIENTS? 

We love to partner with commercial projects including, but not limited to, hotels, office buildings, mixed-use developments, restaurants and retail shops. Please reach out to us with your project needs and we will curate a custom art package for you. 

ARE YOU ABLE TO SOURCE CUSTOM ART?

Art is our passion and if you don’t fall in love with a piece in the current collection, please reach out and we can try to find what your heart desires.
